MASSAGE AFTERCARE

I hope that you enjoyed your treatment at The Pixie Retreat and are starting to feel the benefits.

Avoid alcohol and smoking, as massage is a detoxifying treatment.

Drink plenty of water to assist in the elimination of toxins from the body.

Avoid caffeine, as it stops the body from absorbing water effectively.

Eat light meals and include fresh salad, vegetables and fruit.

Practice deep breathing exercises, whilst relaxing your shoulders.

Relax - this allows your blood pressure to return to normal.

Avoid direct sunlight and sun beds after treatments using oils.

SIDE EFFECTS (HEALING)

Occasionally, you may experience any of the following reactions between 24-48 hours after your treatment. 

This is not something to worry about as these are signs of your body re-balancing and cleansing itself.

Listen to your Body

Headache, runny nose and/or cough.

Dizziness or nausea.

Achy or sore muscles.

Slight rash as the skin re-balances.

Increased thirst.

Increased urination or passing stools.

Changes to your usual sleeping pattern.

Suppressed conditions could flare up.

Do not hesitate to contact your therapist if you have any concerns or questions regarding your treatment.
