The autumnal equinox occurs in September each year, and in the northern hemisphere, the date marks the end of summer and the beginning of autumn.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Day and night are the same length today.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
What rituals will you create to say goodbye to summer and prepare for Autumn?⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Mabon is the perfect time to reconnect with nature to make yourself feel balanced and grounded, try a simple walk in our beautiful National Forest. ⠀⠀
Being outdoors allows you to witness the changing of the seasons firsthand. The vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows of the leaves signal the beauty of nature’s transition and the ongoing cycles of growth, decay, and renewal.⠀⠀
Set up a simple altar at home with autumnal items like leaves, nuts, berries, and candles. This can serve as a focal point for your thoughts on gratitude and letting go⠀⠀
Go barefoot on the ground, put your hands in the soil, clean and smudge your home.⠀⠀
Take a cleansing bath with lavender and frankincense.⠀⠀⠀
Mabon is also a time to think of those less fortunate, maybe volunteer or donate to your local foodbank, in keeping with the sharing of Harvest ⠀⠀
