Yurty Crafts joins The Village Heart at Deevstock 2025

In addition to therapies, the Village Heart is home to our Heart Gallery, which is full of art from our community.

If you fancy getting creative yourself, you can now join the Wellbeing Warriors at The Village Heart where creativity meets community, and create with Lindsey from Yurty Crafts!

Lindsey's workshops at the festival are short and ideal for anyone. They give you a taster session of the art of willow weaving.

At Deevstock, you can come and book yourself onto a 1-hour workshop on Saturday and/or Sunday:

Saturday

• Flower - Weave a flower on a stem, wave it about to find your mates in a crowd! Or stick it in a plant pot as a super decoration. Jazz up your camp at Deevstock with willow flowers!

• Festiball - Weave a willow ball for throw and catch games, and we can also weave some target hoops so you can really challenge your mates.

Sunday

• Dragonfly - Weave a willow dragonfly, these look great on garden fences, or maybe in your campsite!

• Heart on a stick - Feel the festival love. This is also a good one for decorating your campsite, stick it in the ground, or just parade around this woven symbol of love.

Lindsey runs a wider variety of full and half-day craft workshops in her yurt she built at her little farm Yurty Crafts by the Macclesfield canal in Cheshire, including green woodworking, basketry and willow sculpture.
